1. Overview

templates.meme respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using the templates.meme website.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content hosted on templates.meme infringes your copyright, please submit a written notification containing the following information:

  2. Identification of the infringing material — Provide the URL(s) of the material on templates.meme that you believe infringes your copyright.

3. Where to Send Notices

4. Response to Valid Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
  • Notify the content provider (if applicable) that the material has been removed
  • Provide the content provider with a copy of the takedown notice

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe that material you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification containing:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, phone number, and email address
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

6. Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances, templates.meme may terminate access for users who are repeat infringers of copyright.

7. Good Faith

Please note that misrepresentations in a DMCA notice or counter-notification may result in liability for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Consider consulting an attorney before filing a notice if you are unsure whether material infringes your copyright.
