Arm Wrestling Meme Template

Template Name

Epic Handshake / Predator Arm Wrestling Meme / Predator Handshake / Dillon! You Son of a Bitch / Arnold and Dillon Grip Meme

Origin

This template traces its roots directly to the 1987 sci-fi action film Predator, directed by John McTiernan.

In the movie, Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) meets his former comrade-in-arms, CIA agent Al Dillon (Carl Weathers). After Dutch drops the famous greeting, "Dillon! You son of a bitch!", the two clasp hands mid-air in an intense, bicep-flexing, upright arm wrestling lock that showcases pure 1980s action machismo.

In 2012, artist Boris Mitkov painted a stylized oil recreation titled Epic Handshake, focusing purely on the locked forearms, contrasting skin tones, and bulging muscle fibers. The painted version and the original movie still later exploded across Reddit, Twitter/X, Tumblr, and Instagram as the internet's definitive three-part object-labeling macro for two opposing or vastly different groups agreeing passionately on a single shared concept.

Key Vibes

Unexpected solidarity, mutual agreement, hyper-masculine camaraderie, bipartisan unity, and fierce common ground.

Visual Breakdown

• Left Arm (White Sleeve): The dark-skinned, heavily muscled arm of Carl Weathers (Dillon) in a rolled-up white sleeve, angling upward with defined vascularity and forearm tendons.
• Right Arm (Red Sleeve): The heavily tanned, bulging arm of Arnold Schwarzenegger (Dutch) in a red short-sleeve shirt, flexing a massive peak bicep as he locks hands.
• The Center Clasp: The two hands gripping tightly in the upper-middle of the frame, forming the central junction where labels meet.
• The Background: A muted, textured slate-gray backdrop that eliminates all distraction to focus solely on the physical collision of strength.

Description Paragraph

The enduring appeal of the Epic Handshake template lies in how cleanly it illustrates unexpected harmony between natural rivals. Whether it's two conflicting fanbases, political opposites, or completely unrelated demographics, the template serves as visual proof that common ground exists anywhere. By labeling the left arm as Group A, the right arm as Group B, and the locked grip in the center as their mutual passion or shared enemy, users turn an aggressive action-movie flex into a celebration of hilarious, undeniable solidarity.
