Crayon Drawing of Void Monster Meme Template
About this meme
This heartwarming and wholesome two-panel webcomic captures a child's crude crayon drawing coming to life in the most unexpected way.
In the top panel, a stick-figure crayon drawing labeled "My family" depicts "Dad", "Mom", "me", and a heavily scribbled black shadow figure labeled simply as "he". The bottom panel reveals the reality: the terrifying, shadowy void entity actually lives with the family, complete with a tiny party hat, crying tears of emotional joy as the little girl hands him her drawing at a birthday party. The comic went viral across Tumblr, Reddit, X (Twitter), and Pinterest as a prime example of wholesome horror and heartwarming "found family" internet humor.
Wholesome horror, unexpectedly heartwarming, found family tropes, emotional void entities, and pure wholesome energy.
- Panel 1 (The Crayon Drawing): A child's drawing on grey paper featuring simple stick figures labeled "Dad", "Mom", "me", and a heavily scribbled black crayon figure with glowing eyes labeled "he". A black crayon rests beside the drawing.
- Panel 2 (The Wholesome Reality): A lit-up birthday scene where the dad holds a cake with candles, the mom holds a video camera, and the little girl hands the paper to the massive, spikey black shadow creature—who wears a tiny party hat and cries tears of overwhelming joy.
The image displays a two-panel comic with a contrasting art style between panels. The top panel depicts a child's crayon drawing on textured paper titled "My family" in black text with purple flowers on either side. Simple stick figures are labeled "Dad" (wearing glasses and a tie), "Mom" (wearing a green skirt), "me" (a young girl with pigtails and a pink skirt), and "he"—a intensely scribbled-in black silhouette with two white eyes, next to a black crayon. The bottom panel shows a fully rendered scene in warm lighting: a family standing around the towering black scribbled entity. The creature wears a small party hat and sheds tears of happiness while looking down at the drawing being handed to it by the little girl, while her father holds a lit birthday cake and her mother records with a camera.
