Lionel Messi FIFA Princess Meme Template

This viral, highly satirical image edit gained massive traction across football Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram as a poke at FIFA and its president, Gianni Infantino. Critics and opposing football fans frequently banter that FIFA gives preferential treatment or "royal status" to Lionel Messi, especially following Argentina's 2022 World Cup victory.

The meme combines two digitally altered images: on the left, an AI-generated image of FIFA President Gianni Infantino placing a jeweled tiara onto a smiling, gown-wearing Lionel Messi (standing alongside the World Cup trophy); on the right, a mockup toy box for a "FIFA Princess Action Figure." The toy blister pack includes absurd accessories, like a framed photo of Infantino, stacks of "Marketing" money, and a packet of Halls cough drops, satirizing football politics and favoritism in sports media.

• The Accessories (Right): The toy includes a mini World Cup trophy, a pack of Halls extra strong throat lozenges, a framed portrait of Gianni Infantino, a stack of cash labeled "MARKETING," a casino chip, and a small grey rat.

The image displays a side-by-side satirical collage. On the left, a digital manipulation depicts FIFA President Gianni Infantino placing a golden, ornate crown on football star Lionel Messi, who is dressed in a elaborate pink ballgown adorned with the Argentina crest and holding a golden royal scepter. Behind them stands the FIFA World Cup trophy and a backdrop reading "FIFA WORLD CUP 2026." On the right, a parody toy packaging styled after Argentina's light-blue-and-white stripes is labeled "FIFA PRINCESS ACTION FIGURE." Inside the plastic bubble sits a Messi doll wearing a pink dress with Infantino's face printed on the bodice. Surrounding the doll are various toy accessories, including a tiny World Cup trophy, a black packet of Halls lozenges, a framed picture of Infantino, stacks of green "Marketing" cash, a poker chip, and a miniature plastic rat.
