OMG Hi Meme Template

Template Name

OMG Hi!!! / Stick Figure in Doorway / Stickman OMG Hi / Blush Stick Figure / Open Door Stick Figure Meme

Origin

This minimalist MS Paint template emerged around mid-to-late 2021 on Twitter/X, Tumblr, and Instagram before spreading into wider meme ecosystems across Reddit (r/wholesomememes, r/dankmemes, r/me_irl) and TikTok.

The template evolved as an inversion and spin-off of classic MS Paint doorway memes (such as "Are Ya Winning, Son?"). Instead of a father checking in on his gaming son, the frame strips away everything except an open perspective doorway on the left and an overly enthusiastic, blushing stick figure on the right.

In early iterations, users pasted pictures of beloved fictional comfort characters, niche musicians, favorite foods, or hyper-specific nostalgic items inside the empty doorway frame. Accompanied by the simple, earnest text "omg" and "hi!!!", the macro instantly became the internet's most direct visual shorthand for pure, childlike joy upon seeing someone or something you adore walk into your life.

Key Vibes

Pure adoration, affectionate greeting, comfort hyperfixations, wholesome excitement, and childlike excitement.

Visual Breakdown

• The Doorway (Left): A rough, hand-drawn black outline depicting an open interior doorway in simple three-dimensional perspective, leaving a large blank void framed for pasting custom images, characters, or text.
• The Stick Figure (Right): A crudely drawn stickman standing with arms outstretched in a welcoming hug or joyful wave, complete with two soft pink airbrushed blush spots on its round head.
• The Captions (Center & Right): Lowercase, conversational black sans-serif text reading "omg" floating in the middle negative space and an exuberant "hi!!!" perched above the stick figure's head.
• Visual Style: Ultra-low-fidelity, stark black lines on a plain white background reminiscent of late-night MS Paint doodles.

Description Paragraph

The charm of the "OMG Hi!!!" template comes from its emotional simplicity. In internet humor often dominated by irony, cynicism, and complex multi-layered jokes, this format communicates pure, unadulterated happiness. The outstretched stick-figure arms and airbrushed blush capture that exact fluttering sensation when a favorite pet trots into the bedroom, a food delivery driver arrives, or a beloved comfort character appears on screen. It requires almost zero context to understand, making it one of the most widely adapted templates for fandoms, relationships, and cozy everyday appreciation.
